the project try to find a way to connect the city on the mountain with the shore line and the sea by breaking through the barriers that exsist near the shore line.
Haifa is a city with a significant presence of the mountain and the sea. Green wadis that slope between the houses of the residents and sea bays create fascinating encounters between nature and the city. The potential inherent in the connection between the mountain, the sea and the people does not reach realization due to a series of "walls" that create a physical, visual and emotional disconnection.
The project deal with creating a connection between the mountain areas and the sea shore by a sequence of urban-green centers. Beit Dagon (the silo) will be the new gateway from the city to the sea and will be part of a network of urban squares alongside green boulevards and a promenade along the sea.
